In 2008 employees of the department, DSc., Prof. V.Ya. Maleev and DSc., Prof. M.A. Semenov, received the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology for the series of works “Fundamental physical properties of biopolymers that determine their functioning” (nominated by A.Ya.Usikov Institute for Radiophysics and Electronics NASU).

Employees of the department, Dukhopelnikov E.V. in 2005-2006, Gladkovskaya N.A. in 2006-2007, Khrebtova A.S. in 2007-2008, Ermak E.L. in 2008-2009, were awarded by B.I. Verkin Kharkiv city scholarship for young scientists in the field of Biophysics “Hope of Kharkiv”. Ermak E.L. in 2006 won the first regional competition “Best Young Scintist of Kharkiv Region – 2005”, received scholarship of the NAS of Ukraine (2006-2008). Dukhopelnikov E.V. in 2005-2007 and Miroshnychenko E.V. in 2007-2009 received a scholarship of the President of Ukraine.
