Operational tests at focal distance 0,75 m
As an additional mode
of operation some tests at distance 0,75 m were provided with the
aim to see limiting levels in possible space resolution and
estimation of quality of the developed dielectric lenses. During
these experiments two lenses with their focal distances as 3 m and
1,5 m were both installed in front of rotating antenna.
With the aim to obtain
rather high temperature contrasts for these estimations the tests in
most cases were provided with "hot" background radiation from hot
distributed load with temperature 53 C degrees. This way fixing
temperature contrasts near 23 C degrees were provided.
Some comments to the
images are presented below. |

Images of a person on the "hot" background: left
profile (left), face (in the center), right profile (right). Some
different emissivity can be seen for face area and for neck area.

Images of wrist of a man. It can be seen that realized spatial resolution is not worse than 5 mm across the imaging area. Forearm is seen trough jacket sleeve, contour of which is slightly seen due to higher loss. |
