Presentation Information

Dear colleague,

Organizing Committee informs you, that the Seventh International Kharkov Symposium on Physics and Engineering of Microwaves, Millimeter and Submillimeter Waves (MSMW’2010) will be held in Kharkov National University, Ukraine in June 21-26, 2010. Within the symposium, the Workshop on Terahertz Technology and Spectroscopy of Complex Media (TERATECH’2010) will be organized.

The registration desk will be open on Monday, June 21 and Tuesday, June 22 from 07.00 till 19.00.

Working days of the Symposium: June, 22-26. Daily from 09.00 till 13.00 invited presentations on most actual questions of the problem will take place at plenary sessions. From 14.30 till 18.00 oral papers will be presented at subject sessions. All poster sessions will take place from 18:00 to 19:00.

Plenary invited speakers will have 30 minutes for presenting paper including discussion.
Session invited speakers will have 20 minutes for presenting paper including discussion.
Each oral presenter will have 15 minutes for presenting paper including discussion Multimedia projector will be available.
Each poster presenter will be provided with a vertical surface to mount their poster presentation. The area available for the poster is limited to a rectangle 85 cm tall by 65 cm wide.

LANGUAGE
The official working language of the MSMW’2010 is English, which will be used for all printed materials, presentations and discussions.

VISA
No visa is required for the citizens of the EU, Norway, Switzerland, the USA, Canada, and Japan. All participants except those mentioned need a valid visa to enter Ukraine. Organizing Committee will send you an official invitation letter by air mail.

TRAVEL INFORMATION
Every day Kharkov is accessible by direct flight of the Austrian Airlines from Vienna. International air connections are available to Kiev, with daily flights from Amsterdam, Budapest, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Paris, Prague, Tel Aviv, Vienna, and Zurich. This is to be followed by one-hour flight or an overnight train to Kharkov, 450 km to the East. Train tickets from Kiev to Kharkov and back can be booked via the organizers, and those who will have chosen this route might be accompanied by English-speaking volunteers.

ACCOMMODATIONS
The Symposium participants may be accommodated in the following hotels: “Kharkov”, “Mir” (www.hotel-mir.com.ua), “Chichikov” (www.chichikov-hotel.com.ua), “Aurora” (www.hotel-aurora.com.ua) and any other hotel at their choice. Costs for participants will be about 35-90 Eu (50-120 US$) per night for a single room and 35-135 Eu (50-200 US$) for a double room.

For convenience of MSMW participants, the Organizing Committee offers the closest (3 minutes by walk from the University) and comfortable hotel "Kharkov" (http://hotel.kharkov.com) just across a square from the University:
